Minister Gatete discusses bilateral cooperation with various personalities

Minister Claver Gatete and H.E Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Rwanda held discussion around Transport area.

Kigali, 16 April 2021-Minister of Infrastructure Claver Gatete met with different  H.E Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Rwanda, they discussed status of existing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the area of air Transport, especially the construction of Bugesera International Airport and partnership in airline.

The two officials also discussed possible future partnership including tourism and gas production to strengthen the cooperation.

Minister Claver Gatete further received the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Rwanda, H.E Burcu Çevik, where discussions focused on how Turkey can contribute to the infrastructure development in Rwanda, particularly in energy, transport, water, sanitation and urbanization.

Similarly, the Minister met with the United Nations Development Programme Resident Representative to Rwanda, Maxwell Gomera and the Deputy Resident Representative, Varsha Redkar-Palepu, they discussed ways of strengthening collaboration in promoting green infrastructure and climate resilient projects.

Finally, Minister Gatete received the African Development Bank (AfDB) Country Manager to Rwanda, Mrs. TOURE SARR Aissa, they exchanged views on the status of AfDB funded projects in Rwanda and areas of future collaboration in water & sanitation, transport and energy sectors.
